Electrical Fitter – 2 positions available

  • 1 position x Permanent opportunity
  • 1 x 12 months Maximum-term opportunity available
  • Salary range between $77,610 - $91,646 depending on experience plus 20% annualised component (after probation completion), plus 15% superannuation
  • Work an 8-day fortnight

About the Role

We are seeking highly skilled technicians who can work independently and as productive member of our team of Electrical Fitters. In this role, you will be undertaking a wide range of duties related to repairs, preventative maintenance and installation of Electrical equipment over the entire icon Water asset base. 

As an Electrical Fitter, you will:

  • Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on electrical equipment. 
  • Assist in identification of workplace hazards, conduct risk assessments and perform work in accordance with implemented safe work practices.
  • Carry out tasks in accordance with icon Water’s Policies and procedures.
  • Assist other work groups to maintain icon Water assets
  • Assist in the preparation of preventative maintenance programs. 
  • Record asset maintenance history. 
  • Participate in an emergency On-Call roster as required to provide 24-hour, 7 day a week breakdown & maintenance service.

What are we looking for?

  • Possess recognised trade qualifications as an Electrical fitter. (ACT Electricians Licence or equivalent)
  • OH&S General Induction card
  • Demonstrated ability, skills and experience to perform maintenance on various electrical equipment including motors, switchboards and control systems.  
  • Asbestos Awareness.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with computerised maintenance scheduling/ reporting and controlling systems.
  • Possess an ACT Class C Drivers Licence or equivalent.
  • Ability to read electrical drawings.

As part of this role you be will be required to obtain and maintain the following:

  • Electrical rescue 
  • First Aid/CPR
  • Confined Space Entry.
  • Work at heights.
  • Dogman.
  • Forklift.
