Project Manager – Meter Replacement Program

  • 12 months Maximum-Term, Full-time opportunity
  • Remuneration: $128,850 - $152,018 plus 15% superannuation

The Opportunity

Icon Water’s Metering Services team is looking for an individual with strong experience in Project Management and a passion for service delivery to take on a great and unique opportunity as our Project Manager – Meter Replacement Program

In this role, you will be responsible for the delivery of the program of work for the Water Meter Replacement Program.

A day in the life...

  • Lead the team to deliver the water meter replacement program. With a results-oriented culture, this position will be responsible for the performance of the project.
  • Manage the assigned project and ensure safe, effective and efficient use of people and resources throughout the entire project lifecycle.
  • Monitor and report on the status of project to ensure it is delivered on time, within budget and to business and customer requirements.
  • Develop and implement project management plans and other associated project plans in line with project governance requirements.
  • Undertake regular site inspections to support quality out comes in line with Icon Water standards for water meter installations.

What are we looking for?

  • Certified Practising Project Manager or equivalent qualification, and/or significant experience in managing projects at a program level.
  • Experience in delivering projects (minimum of 5 years)
  • Experience in leading and managing a multidisciplinary team
  • Extensive experience and proven knowledge of project management methodologies in line with the project management body of knowledge (PMBOK)
  • Knowledge of and experience in, gaining statutory approvals for projects and a familiarity with ACT and NSW Legislation including the Environmental Protection Act. 
  • Knowledge of Australian Standard Contracts, the Trades Practices Act and procurement guidelines.
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of programs, including Microsoft Project.

Desirable

  • Experience in water or wastewater field is favourable
