About the opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for Apprentices to join Icon Water’s Infrastructure Services Group and progress through a mechanical fitter or electrical apprenticeship and obtain their Certificate III qualification. We are looking for someone who has recently completed school, commenced or completed their 1st year of relevant trade studies or someone who has a genuine interest and commitment in completing an apprenticeship.
Partnering with experienced and dedicated vocational providers, we will mentor you through your training and provide you with on-the-job-training to support you in your trade.

About your new role
Key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
- Undertake general work tasks associated with maintenance of sewage and water treatment plants and facilities operated by Icon Water in the ACT Region.
- Undertake computer data inputs and requests required under the Treatment Branch maintenance System.
- Assist in the identification of workplace hazards and perform work in accordance with implemented safe work practices/procedures.
- Attend and complete all required competencies and training associated with your qualification.
What our ideal candidate will possess
- Ability to work in a team environment with good communication skills.
- Commitment to attend off site nationally recognised training.
- Physical capability of performing the duties of the position, particularly working in confined spaces.
- You will (or will soon) have completed school or have completed your 1st year of your relevant trade apprenticeship or can demonstrate a genuine interest in an apprenticeship.
- What you will be paid during your Apprenticeship.
- During your apprenticeship you will be paid a percentage of the full salary range for this role as per the table below.
